Sage Ridge Sporthorses is a premier hunter jumper training facility with an all-inclusive horse and rider training program located in the heart of beautiful San Luis Obispo.
We pride ourselves on the impeccable care and conditioning of our horses and the systematic training program we have developed. Our attention to detail and dedication to the horses is what sets us apart.
We are less than a 3 hour drive or 40 minute direct flight from the San Francisco Bay or Greater Los Angeles Area, and just minutes from the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo campus.
THE FACILITY
At the center of our facility is the show barn, containing 12 stalls with runs and 3 oversized box stalls. Each stall is fitted with stable comfort flooring systems and the barn aisle and work areas contain rubberized brick footing for maximum safety and comfort. Our indoor cross-ties are ideal for working in all weather conditions and horses enjoy daily treatments on the floor level Theraplate and with our Bemer blanket.
The competition sized sub-irrigated outdoor arena was purpose built with maximum performance and safety in mind. The unique system of watering and drainage is designed to maintain an optimal moisture level that enables year round riding. A covered Eurociser is available adjacent to the main barn for daily exercise no matter the weather.
Additionally we have ten irrigated grass turnouts, four private 1+ acre pastures, a seven acre shared mare pasture, and a five acre shared gelding pasture. The ranch includes miles of easy trail riding and a small herd of cattle.

Sage Ridge Sporthorses is a hunter jumper and equitation training barn whose success is centered upon the concept of an individualized training regimen for each horse and rider.
